Projek gajah putih...

I started a project last April. I created another blog which was supposed to be dedicated to my third pregnancy journey to keep track of my experience of being pregnant again.. At first I wanted to keep it separate from this caca merba blog because I wanted to keep the pregnancy a secret. Ha.. ha.. secret konon.... How long can you keep your growing bump a secret?!!.. Silly me.... Today I'd like to announce that that pregnancy blog project is discontinued effective from today. Macamlah banyak sangat masa nak maintain 2 blog. Lagipun I have forgotten the password to the other blog. So.. here I cut and paste the only two entries that I have written in there.

ENTRY #1
Title of the entry: The beginning
Date: April 4, 2009
Being a mother of two bouncing boys already, I have never thought that I can still feel this excited and thrilled about having another living thing in my womb. I just found out that about my pregnancy about 5 days ago. My first son is going to be 7 this year, and my second one is going to be 4 very soon. So you can say that the period between my 2nd one to this pregnancy marked the longest un-pregnant period I ever had.

This blog is dedicated to my 3rd pregnancy. Oh well.. actuallythis is not my 3rd, the 4th actually. About 6 months after I got my first baby, I got pregnant again but the pregnancy lasted for about 6 weeks. I had experienced a miscarriage in 2003, so this is actually my 4th pregnancy. I actually already have a blog, but I’m thinking of keeping this pregnancy a secret (but well how secretive can you be when it comes to pregnancies!) and decided to have a separate blog as a place for me to jot down my pregnancy stories.

It was actually a dilemma for me and my hubby before we decided to have our 3rd baby at this point of time. I’m in my 3rd year of a PhD programme and I have about 10 months of study leave left before I start working again. At first we thought that we should just wait until I finish my study, until everything is settled.. but I guess God knows what’s best for us. I just couldn’t contain any longer my desire to be pregnant again, to be holding a baby in my arms. So here I am….. Come to think of it, we didn’t really decide to have the baby so SOON but we just went with the flow & went “unprotected”. So when I found out that I’m pregnant 4 nights ago.. I was like “Wow… this is it!”. I’m aware that it may not gonna be a smooth-sailing journey for me as I’m struggling to finish my study on time, but I know that there is no better time than now. Insya Allah, I will brave through whatever challenges that may lie ahead.

I’m actually not quite sure how far my pregnancy is, but I guess it has been about 2-3 weeks. At the moment, the pregnancy symptoms have not hit me yet. I mean… no morning sickness or anything like that. I have started taking Obimin and Folic Acid but I haven’t seen any gynae yet. I think I will wait for another 2 weeks or so, and will re-confirm my pregnancy at home before starting to see the gynae. I haven’t really decided yet on which gynae to choose but I have shortlisted a few names based on friends’ recommendations and some research on the net.

That’s about all for this first entry.

ENTRY #2
Title of the entry: Fenattzzz...
Date: April 12, 2009

I’ve been feeling really tired lately. I don’t remember feeling this tired in my previous pregnancies. At the same time I’m struggling with my data.. trying to make sense out of them. God please give me strength. I can’t afford to be sick and tired all the time.

Went to Klinik Dr Delaila last Friday. i wanted to do an ultrasound to confirm how far is my pregnancy. But unfortunatley, we didn’t get to see her as Dr Delaila had an emergency at SJMC. Her clinic was full packed with people. She must be really good, or else people wouldn’t be flocking in her clinic. My friend, Ann strongly recommend her. But the problem with her that she has sooo many patients. Ann told me that once she had to wait from 8.50 am until 2.30 pm before she gets to see the doctor. Sooooo long! baik pegi klinik ibu mengandung kerajaan itu macam…

This pregnancy is really exciting not only to both me and hubby but also to our boys. They keep asking me when the baby will come out. Sometimes my Rizq (the younger one, 4yo) would come and kiss my tummy. Today I show them some pictures from the Conception, Pregnancy and Birth (by Dr Miriam Stoppard). I showed them how the embryo look like from the first trimester until full term. I explained to them the stages of an embryo’s growth, and I also showed them pictures of how a baby is being delivered. I’m sure my boys are going to love this much awaited baby to bits.
