Some updates

I've been busy for the past few weeks, working on my data, trying to make sense out of them and that explains my inactivity here in the blogosphere. Here I'm gonna do some recap on things that have been happening in the past few weeks.
1. Shad and I went to the dentist last two weeks. I had my wisdom tooth removed & he had his gigi susu removed. That was his second visit to the dentist. He has such strong teeth. His new gigi kekal has already errupted but the gigi susu was still intact. So terpaksalah dentist yang cabut kan sebab gigi dia tak nak tercabut sendiri. I strongly recommend this dentist from Joon Dental Clinic (http://www.jdc.com.my/) at Taipan. The charges are reasonable (RM25 for a gigi susu, RM60 for a top wisdom tooth) and the lady dentist is so gentle, fast and friendly. She would show us the condition of our teeth on a TV before she starts working on them & I guess that can be really exciting for a 6 year old boy.

2. Last Sunday we had a picnic at Bukit Cerakah with Atul and family. The last time I went there was when I was in form 3 in a school trip. The place is poorly maintained. Got kandang haiwan tapi yang ada hanyalah kandang semata-mata minus the haiwan. But we enjoyed the greenery there and the kids were happy playing with each other. I introduced pokok semalu (dedalu) to Rizq which he later recalls as "pokok tak malu". Atul and I plan to have more outings together. Rizq was the most happiest. Sekarang tiap2 hari asik sebut nak jumpa Izz. He refers the Izz brothers as Izz coz all of their names start with Izz. Here some of the photos:

3. Shad has already got his exam result. He scored 8A+s & 3As and got the 5th position in class with 92 % overall marks. I'm happy with his performance. So kenalah tunaikan janji nak belikan helicopter.. he.. he... He'll be sitting in his Hafazan test starting from tomorrow. He needs to be able to recite 15 surahs from Al-fatihah to the more complex ones such as Surah Al Ma'un, Al-Humazah, Takaatsur and Qari'ah. I'm amazed at how he can memorize the more complex surahs within 2-3 days for each surah. The teachers have a special technique on teaching hafazan. They first need to hafaz the first line and keep reciting it for 60 times, before they proceed to the second line. Again they will recite for 60 times for both lines. Begitulah sampai ke penghujung surah. They have Hafazan class daily.

Okay... itu saja cerita di Hari Ahad yang berbahagia ini.
